I thought the the lower connector is for the direct connection to the motherboard. One of the three cards is in fact so connected. The other two are connected over the upper connector. One connection with the Firewire card and the other connection with the external Firewire connector of the motherboard.

What kind of cable is needed? And where should I order them?
