    Hi,

I've started having problems when changing channels, quite often MediaPortal gives me the error message "channel is scrambled". By the looks of the logs TVE3 waits for 5 seconds before returning this error message. Has this timeout been decreased? I know that my CAM(Conax 4.00e) can be a bit slow and that it can take up to 7 seconds for the unscramble action.

All of my channels are scrambled, no FTA available.

I've been running TVE2 for almost two years now without any FloppyDTV related problems, I've also tried DVB Viewer/FireDTV Viewer without ANY problems.

Logs are attached, have a look in tv.log at 21:31:16.281250.

Any help is much appreciated. I was foolish enough to show my girlfriend that TVE3 had subtitle support so there's no way she'll accept TVE2 again

I have exactly the same problem. Also got a firedtv dvb-t with an conax cam. Running the latest builds of tve3 and mediaportal. Downloaded today 25-12-2007. Anybody has an answer on how to get tve3 descramble the channels?

In the next SVN I have added 2 new options in setup-tv.

'WaitForUnscrambled' (default 5 sec.) Increase this one if you have a slow CAM.
'WaitForTimeshifting' (default 15 sec.) increase this if you are receiving the no audio video error message.

Mantis, who is your provider ?
5 sec. for a CAM is a long time...
    Is this always like this.
I guess you are on TDC, right ?

I was thinking about this provider too, but now u scare me :)

Thanks Gibman for this option. I don't know if it is the cam - channel changing in Vista MCE is way below 5 sek (more like 2-3 sek).

My provider is Stofa (Digitale spejl). I must admit that changing channel in MP (TV3, standalone) take much longer than in MCE 2005, Vista MCE or SageTV.

I have no experience with TDC as cable provider.

This fix has lessened the amount of times I get the scrambled error.. However I am getting it from time to time at random occurences and normally when powering up PC after its been off for a few hours, get the scrambled problem..

Find I have to exit mediaportal and reinsert CAM so maybe a driver issue not mediaportal

hello gibman. thanks for this config option, works fine so far. but i have massive problems switching to channels with high bitrates.
e.g. the german pay tv provider premiere. all channels work without problems but not premiere 1-4 (they have very high bitrates).
mp switches to the channel, i see 3 seconds of the movie, and can hear sound. but the the picture stops and i have a black screen...
i know that my cam interface is one of the slowest on the market (diablo cam) but at the moment i have no other cam to test.
with the fire dtv viewer software these channels and channel changes are no problem...

    logs attached.

    keep up the good work
