Hm ... not being of any help here, but I like the idea. Mainly because some of my music is not tagged 100 % (missing uppercase).

It appears that MP somehow caches previously used subtitle files for subsequent use next time the same video is played. My problem...
When my AVR bit the dust recently I took the opportunity to upgrade my projector to an LS11000 to gain 4K. Install went fine until I switched to my HTPC which is my primary source.
