For anyone interested in Home Automation, I've created a new client for IR Server Suite which relays messages to and from xPL home automation networks
Now you can use your remote control for more than just watching movies - how about dim the lights, water the garden or disconnect the phone and doorbell so your viewing will not be interrupted?

BTW, I just want to add that IMHO IR Server Suite is a work of genius. The ability to extend the system with additional plug-ins and clients is great, and adding support for xPL proved to be extremely easy.
