Last time I checked, if I have set up MP to record friends everyday from 15:30 to 16:00, and the show ends (something else is aired instead in this timeframe), MP would continue to record everyday from 15:30 to 16:00.FTR only records something if the name corresponds to the recording schedule.To compensate for programs shifting around 5-10 minutes besides the EPG data, I have 10min pre-record and 15 min post-record. The great thing about FTR is that when you later start a recording, FTR remembers the postrecording. This means that when I start the shows, FTR skips ahead and starts the recording 10min into the recording, which is the time that the program was supposed to be aired. This means that I can easily have long pre-record without having to deal with skipping for a long time when starting a recording.
