I went through a clean install and it worked fine.
However I selected the built in TV engine, but the installer insisted on installing the TV Server and it's client. Is this expected for some reason?

There is no built-in TV engine any more if I remember correctly, that was removed.

That makes sense based on the code I am seeing.
Makes me wonder then why the installer lists that as an option still.

I've tried to reproduce this, but I could not find an option to use inbuil TV-engine....

Do you have any more details? What did you choose etc.

(And yes, TVE2 is removed form MP, as TVServer is superior in every (?) way.)

It's not that it said internal as much as the options presented implied that to me at least.
I'll reinstall on a VM and try and get more info.

EDIT: OK I see now. In the advanced dialog that has the title:
Please choose which setup you want to install

The options are:
Singleseat Installation
Dedicated TV-Server
Mediaportal Client

I assumed singleseat was the old school singleseat that used the internal engine instead of tv server. I wasn't expecting to see tv server installed in this configuration. I guess I need to let go of the past Thanks for setting me straight.
