Hi,

I have always updated my EPG using the Freesat DVB-EPG functionality in MP.
I have done this by selecting "Freesat Info" in the "DVB EPG/Radio Epg grabber" in TVServer Configuration.
This configuration loaded the Freesat EPG for the next couple of days without fault.

Until last week or so (can't say exactly when)...
Now the grabber only seems to pick up now/next data for BBC One HD and BBC HD.

Looking at the logs, it seems to find the "Freesat Info" transponder alright but somehow it doesn't have a load of data to process.

Has something changed here in the Freesat set-up? Do I need to select a different channel to get all the EPG?
Or is this service no longer working and should I move to different method of collecting Freesat EPG?

SOLVED -- Freesat DVB-EPG no longer updating

Found the problem...
For some reason the transponder data for "Freesat Info" was changed to 10847V/22000 instead of 11427H/27500.
The EPG grabber therefore tuned to the wrong transponder and was only picking up the now/next data for that transponder which hosts BBC HD and BBC One HD.

I edited the transponder details for "Freesat Info" and now it grabs the EPG for all the Freesat channels.

can i ask where you enter this info as i have no epg data on a newly installed card after doing a sat update and scan.

PCNut,

1. Perform a scan of Astra2
2. Ensure you also scan TP10847V/22000 (the TP scan list is located in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TuningParameters\dvbs\28.2°E Eurobird 1 Astra 2A,2B,2D.xml [w7])
3. You should find back "Freesat Info" under Radio programs
4. Go to "DVB EPG"\"Radio Epg grabber"
5. Tick the "Freesat Info" checkbox

To grab/test the EPG Data, go to "Manual Control" and push the "Refresh DVB EPG" button.
You should now see your "dvbs-state" indicate "Grabing EPG" for an extended period of time. If it is only displayed for a short time, something is going wrong.

You can check for errors in the epg.log file.

Many thanks for the quick reply, i think i got most of that.
My setup is a 90cm dish and two LNB's on MP 1.2.0, i went through the setup again last night and found both LNB's were picking up one of the hotbirds and so was getting nothing for the epg. Will have to get the ladder out again to realign dish. But with the info given it should be a little easier.
