as promissed in another thread logs from when MP has froze on me. Simply pressed stop on MCE remote (video was on in small player in recorded TV page not full screen) and system totally froze on me.

This has happened a few times with 1.1 SVNs. Not sure logs are much help as system totally hung (could not even end task and had to hold the power button down)

last entry in MP log is called to clean up graph. I know this has changed for SVN so possibly the problem? Never had anything like this on previous versions of MP or in other apps.

I have had this whilst watching recorded TV and live TV now.

seems to be re-producable on demand now.

Just stop playing video when it is not in full screen mode and machine just locks up.
Stopping same files when in full screen seems ok and stops

edit: In fact seems to be recorded TV from last couple of SVNs. could not reproduce on anything else but I have certain recordings which cause this to happen every time.

    Go into recorded TV screen
    select recording
press back to go to small screen
    press stop on MCE remote

system then just hangs and I have to kill MP.

Only thing I can think is that I am using tsreader.ax from beta as latest versions are not working with HD channels for me.

Clean logs attached. Opened up MP, played recorded TV, stopped whilst in full screen. Played recording from last point and then when back to recorded tv screen and pressed stop. Had to end task then.

Also odd here is that the screen appears locked as if MP still has total control over graphics card. If I connect via VNC I can actually see control manager so I can end task on MP but I can not see this on main screen.

Looking at mp log I started original playback at 19:05:23 and stopped at 19:05:27. Then restarted at 19:05:30 and stopped at 19:05:35

Problem is tsreader log only starts at 19:05:30 and there is no bak file.

I see there are lots of
    11-11-2009 19:05:33.002 [9b8]Aud/Ref : 58.513, Late Compensated = 3.907 ( 1.938 A/V buffers=01/15), Clk : 1.969000, State 2
in tsreader.log This would suggest recording is bad. It was recorded the other day on last SVN signal strength and quality both are 95%+ also this must be an aside as why would it stop ok in full screen but not when in the small window?

OK can replicate this at will now.

Initially had issues as my other machine was running Vista with different codecs (and a slightly older SVN). Some playing about and the problem is when VMR9 is selected as renderer. Going to try some different codecs but I have a 68MB chunk of a recording which has caused both machines to lock up when using VMR9 renderer. Do you want me to upload this file or is this info sufficient?

    I have uploaded vmr9_crash_on_stop.ts to ftp.team-mediaportal.com

Please, please, please could someone look into this ??

    also crashed in my videos.

    just set renderer to VMR9
open ts file in my videos
go back to previous screen so video is in mini-player
press stop (same effect whether b on keyboard or stop on MCE remote)

Just tried this out and it does not crash my system.
so video stops fine in miniplayer using using VMR9 renderer with recent SVN?

Ummmm..... wonder why both my machines just stop responding.... One is Vista, one is XP and different codecs etc do not make a difference...

bump please anyone else able to confirm?

Only thing in common between the two machines is that they both have NVidia graphics cards if that makes a difference. Could anyone else confirm whether they have issue with uploaded file under the following circumstances
    • Renderer set to VMR9
    • Start video and go back to video is playing in small player (not sure what the correct name is but the one that is not full screen...)
    • Stop video

    Thanks
