I created this script because the default FRDB wasn't working for me.

This one doesn't grab everything that could be grabbed, mainly because each type of information needs to open a new web page, so I selected :

    - Title
    - Original Title
    - Year
    - Thumbnail/Cover
    - Rating
    - Director
    - Cast

Please let me know if you have any issue using this script.

    Okay, script has been added.
If you update your script, please always attach the latest script to the first post. If you want to keep the old versions please rename the zip with the date.
    thx

Hello. I created a version of your script to access the page alpacine in Spanish.

Do you mind you publish it here?

I liked the simplicity to produce it.

no problem, you only need to create a new thread and attach it to the first post
I will take care of, that it will be downloaded by the configuration when starting an update :)

    :D for your efforts

Hello, this script seems not to function when I use it.
movie name => FRDB => shows it is using allocine => finding name of the movie => shows information pageof the movie ... but here I get :
    - movie name : unkown
    - It tries to get a cover but since it grabbed unknow as movie name, it doesn't show anything
    - Year : 1900
    - Votes : No info
    - Lenth : 0

The only thing it seems to grab correctly is the "genre" of the movie ...

So this seems not to function at all for me !

This script works fine for me. I could even get the year and the director after I replaced every character with accent with a dot (for example, "Année de production" with "Ann.e de production" or "Réalisé par" with "R.alis. par").

Remaining issues are the duration and the MPA rating which are not handled.

    Hi,

Here is a new version of vinch100's script which grabs now the movie runtime. I've also modified regexps that contain characters with accent.

It works fine on my computer. Hope it'll do the same with yours...

    Hi,

    Here is the last version:
    - fix : grab now correctly runtimes when they aren't like "#h #min" (for example "30min" or "2h")
    - add: convert <br/> tags to newlines
    - add: convert nbsps to spaces
    - bug: quotes are doubled when displayed (perhaps an issue with mp?)

    Cheers

I updated this script once again to grab roles with actors.

I don't post it yet since I think I found a bug: "as" isn't translated when #cast is expanded.

Could someone confirm this? Is there any workaround?
