Hello everyone, I just got everything together more or less. All I have to do now is just set up all the little bells and whistles. this truly is a great little program here. I would like to thank everyone involved in making this possible. and Spragleknas for setting me straight on the log thing.

The problem that I am having right now is the video seems to be stuttering or jerking. audio seems to be playing okay. I haven't gotten into anything else yet this time around. this is like my fifth time setting up the program and I think I can do it with my eyes shut at this point but the video thing is my only concern thus far.

I have attached a log hope someone can figure it out for me. I figure it is just the codec but want second opinion before I go messin stuff up again. thanks in advance for any help.

got it...

I have just installed the cole2.media.codecpack and used it for video encoder and now my picture is smooth and in sync. and the video seems to be much clearer than before. thanks anyway.

Im getting ready to set up my EPG, would someone mind pointing me to the right direction?

alright now Im getting really frustrated. I had everything running perfectly and somewhere in the process of trying to get an epg going, I screwed something up.

now just every single time I go into the my tv tab to view tv the OSD for it never comes up and it hangs. I dont know what it is about this program but its like it doesn't want me to use it or something. I mean gosh. Everything was running smooth and perfect. Someone please help before I go crazy...

I can install this program with my eyes shut, I just dont get what is going on now. the codecs I was using were perfect. video was seamless and speed through the menus was good. I just dont get it...


I have to take a break from this, I hope someone can help..

Did you change anything on the tuningsettings? You need to look for the problem somewhere around there. Maybe rescan your channels?

I have rescanned a number of times. as well as uninstalled the program and reinsalled from scratch. It just seems to get worse. I will look at the tuning settings but Im not sure that is what the problem is. Be back...

I am going to re install windows again since the last time I did that everything worked fine. untill I started messing with epgs I think I know what works well together now. so I'll be back in a couple hours...

Good luck!

Little advice: After you've done the Windows install, updates and drivers/codecs: Create an image of the drive
Then you can always install MP again on a clean OS installation which would take you only 15/20 mins to restore.

When MP is installed completely and running perfectly, create another image

well, I have my OS all back together and I just re installed MP 1.0.2. so far so good. I know my tuner card is working because I just used it with BeyondTV 4. I am going to scan for channels and see what I can see...

How exactly do you create an image of the drive? I've never done that before. I received my mce remote today and I am itching to set it up. but one thing at a time huh?

I just did a scan, got all of the channels I was looking for, but I went into My TV and therscreen went blank.??? I could hear some static, and then it froze!! I had to reboot the pc.

I don't get it, I did everything the same. configured it correctly, it found channels...Do you think this could be a codec problem or something else.

I couldn't get the bug report from the debug module because of th crash, but I did get the files from the log folder, and attached them.

Hope some one can help me get it straightened out...

Well, as of this morning I have some television. I installed a different driver from the nvidia website and then I used the cyberlink (pdvd9 upnp) video decoder, and for the most part everything is working. the video still jerks a little every now and then but its a start.

can anyone think of any settings I should tweek to make it play smoother, or should I just keep looking for a better codec? all I know is atl east it plays, now I can take a breath...


I am going to have to do something about this remote also. It works for the most part but some functions dont like the pause and stuff in the disk actions part of it. I suppose it is just in mapping the commands or something.

I had a couple of updates for my computer and figured I'd give this one more shot. Everything works petty much untill I get into my tv. a couple of channels play fine, but most are choppy and there is a pretty long lag before the pictures come in. I am thinking this may be a codec problem but hey, Im not the expert. I have attached a log.

I am really starting to get into this. I just realized that I can take a skin and customize it!! This is great! I can make something especially for me. I would like to learn more about making a skin if anyone knows where a total green newb should start. A beginners guide to xml would be nice.

okay, I just went into mp and when I went to put it into full screen mode i got these error messeges...

so I prettymuch cant go into fullscreen mode. I'm NOT re installing again. especially windows!
