from dts 5.1 to ac3 5.1 on the fly with fdshow (1 Viewer)

My TV only accept AC3 (5.1) and LPCM (2.0) trought HDMI (Radeon 4550).

I am trying to configure FFDSHOW to reencode DTS (and other 5.1 formats) to AC3, but I only get Stereo. I created a profile for 4 or more audio channels and I can confirm this profile is charged, but the TV shows only stereo.

Anyone knows ho to transcode DTS to AC3 on the fly with ffdshow?

I see you are using (one of) the latest ffdshow versions. I read there is a bug in there which causes stereo output instead of 5.1 passthrough.
You might considder going back to a revision where the trueHD / DTS HD isnt there yet. It might be related.

After a little investigation I also think it's the ffdshow bug. I resolved it doing:

I am using SAF, so I decided to install also AC3filter (ease to uninstall and doesn't collides with SAF). I disabled DTS in ffdshow, and enabled only DTS in AC3filter. Now it works.

Passthrough should be fixed in near FFDShow update.
