FULL signal and still digital breakup? (1 Viewer)

Hello been running a full home server and client system for a year with no hiccups and just did a complete over haul on the server and reinstall windows 7 and mediaportal RC4 but i am having the strangest of problems!

i am able to scan and recieve a channel list to its full and under manual control on every channel i am recieveing 100% level and Quality signal with all relevent SAF codec installed yet the picture is constantly breaking up as if the signal was low.

is there any ideas out there? i have hit a wall and cant think of what this issue could be?

    Hi there,

    There can be many reasons for poor picture quality/breakups. :(

    But without logs and config/system details no one will be able to help - please utilise the new great debug option in RC4 to capture the required info and post it here.

    Thanks for the reply here is the requested attatchment of the fault.

    i ran the "tv on" channel 4 for a minute with severe glitching and breakup and shut down mediaportal myself with alt and F4

    any help will be amazing

    Log seems to be full of discontinuity errors, so most likely signal issue. Please remember that BDA drivers wont have any "valid" signal level indicator. All values are just vendor specific -> not possible to tell anything from the values.

    ill have to go through and check all my connections on my server again but im sure all is well and consifering i have run the machine for a good year with no signal issue i can only hope that there is a lose connection somewhere then i guess.

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAA, this is crazy! just ran up the cable on my virgin box and everything is working hunky dory but soon as i connect via my C-1501 and mediaportal i get breakup! what else can i try, my brain has ran dry?

    You could try ti change to different Network provider for your dvb card. Under tvserver config edit card.

    Same problem here since I moved from 1.02 to the latest. I thought it was just my TV antenna or antenna amp till I noticed it also happening on our satellite channels. I have never had a problem with them since connecting to my mediaportal box over 2 years ago. Operating system is the same, Vista 32 and so I didn't even change the drivers. All I did was uninstall the old and reinstalled the new from remote (VNC) as it is on a dedicated server without even a keyboard. I am as perplexed as you and would love to know the answer. From the looks, the logs didn't help you so???? :confused:

    my problem is still unknown, lost my rag with all thew changes i did and started from fresh full reinstall of EVERYTHING and it just worked! odd i know but bhey trhat computers!
