For the life of me I can not get the Channels to scan and show up.

In setup it shows my ATI X850 and Fusion card for cable cards and when I do a Channel scan it finds none. Live TV is black.

Does Mediaportal support Cable HD channels/?

Does MP support the Black remote that came with Fusion Gold package?
It's black with purple buttons. Looks like MCE remote.

TV guide folder is empty- thus no guide.

Thanks so much for any help..

BY THE WAY:

I have uninstalled the latest FusionHDTV software and Beyond TV.
(they could scan channels)

In Device Manager there are no bangs- (Installed NEW drivers manually.)

Wilson - I believe at this time, MP does not have QAM support at this time. OTA ATSC does work. (QAM is the format the cable channels are in compared to ATSC or over the air)

MP does support the remote, however, you must train the remote to work with mp - if you go into the fusion remote setup, creat a profile for media portal and point the profile to the mediaportal.exe file. Each time you fire up mp, the fusion remote program will kick into mp mode - the remote will have limited functionability however. You need to train the fusion remote configuration program to correspond remote buttons with keys on the keyboard. So far, it has been working good for me. Hope that helps.. let me know if you have anymore questions.

Hi generally we would recommend having a working copy of the TVcard manufacturers software installed and working, at least this is something to compare against.
About the Cable connection side of things, someone with a similar setup will be more appropriate than myself to help.

I had Fusion bundle software working

The software that came with FUsionHDTV Gold T5 works.
I had it working, but removed it since MP didn't work and the instructions said remove it and just install the drivers.

That sad news. After buying this card, it turns out there isnt much 3rd party to support Qam.

Also, the Remote is not Universal. Stuch with not being able to turn on or off the TV with it.

I thought this was a top card, should I return it?

Are you trying to use OTA or QAM?

I have a Fusion 5 Lite and it works perfectly.

SO you are trying to use the Fusion 5 card with analog cable? BTW, if you had posted a log file right from the start, there would be no confusion about this!!!

Pretty sure that the Fusion cards will tune NTSC, but it is in software mode although I've never seen a Fusion card work in software mode with MP, but I don't think anyone has pursued it. Why would you spend 100+ USD on a digital card and not have any digital options? In any case, if you just want analog cable to work with the Fusion card, you will have to do some legwork and provide dman_LFC with some information...

If you have uninstalled all the DVICO software (which I DO recommend if you are using it for OTA only), then you likely have no encoders installed.
