Games running slow when launched from Mediaportal (mulitshortcut) (1 Viewer)

I am using media portal to launch my fight simulator software. I notice a considerable decrease in performance when running through MP. Is there any way to make MP close while games are running or increase the performance of games? I presume this is due to CPU usage by MP.

I am running the latest version on a brand new I7 system Windows 7 64 bit.

Any advice would be great.

Multishortcut has an option to exit mediaportal when running an app - cant remember the exact setting, but its there.

Yeah tried that but it didn't seem to make a difference or didn't close the program.

hmmm ok i think that the mediportal config -> general section has something along the lines of 'minimize to tray on close'. I guess you want to turn that off.
