Probably a real quick answer for someone...

Ive tried to manually add some analog (FM) radio stations to my radio list and I get no sound when I select it in my radio.
It seems to a Noob like me that i can only tune in digital radio stations (which it finds during the auto scan), but Im hoping this is not the case.
I have an Avermedia A16A card which apparently is dual tuner (HD digital and analog) with an FM tuner.
Be nice to get it all working together.

Any help or suggestions most appreciated.

Thanks

Since the analogue portion of that card is software, whether or not it will work is a bit hit and miss.

Youve added it as a software card and assigned those radio stations to that card I assume?

    Thanks for the reply Callifo,

I hadnt done that, but I tried it last night and it didnt seem to work.
Do you know what the number format of the FM stations is?

    ie is 97.0 FM = 97.000 Mhz

When I set the S/W analog capture portion of the card as a tuner, the the card as FM radio and auto tune the stations, it does seem to pick up stations (as its auto tuning, theres a 0 or a 1 shown..I think this toggles as it finds stations, and when its done, it shows the card as 'unlocked')...but when I then click the autotune radio button, no stations are found.

Any pointers? I`ll have another play tonight...its tricky as the missus wants to watch TV when Im playing around with MP.

    Cheers

If that still doesnt work, you might be stuck here. If the radio is the only thing your using a hardware analogue card seems hardly worthy. What about streaming radio from the net?

autotune radio never works for me - enter the frequencies manually like 97.000 and assign these manually added channels to the card.

P.S. The default sound level from my radio (Hauppauge 150MCE) was also very very low and at first i didnt think it was working because of this too (i have to use a tweaker util to rebalance them all) but that may be something to watch out for...

I add them manually as well because autotune finds much to many stations. There doesnt seem to be a good sensitivity as medium finds nothing and high finds all stations including that of interstate ones.
