Hi All, I'm new to MP and GitHub. I've done what I think is right but get consistent timeouts when cloning my fork down to my local dev machine. I seem to get 81% of the way and then it times out, even though there looks to be activity.

I'm using the GitHub for windows UI to clone down to my machine, so I wonder if the GUI thinks there is no activity whilst it downloads a large binary maybe?

My MediaPortal-1 directory locally is 990MB - why is it so big?

Any help would be appreciated, once I get the source I can maybe start to help out.

Thanks

Alex

Thanks for the response - just so I know, I'm doing the right thing pulling down the entire repository? There's no release version or tagged version that will give me the current codebase. I guess I don't need the entire history locally (especially as a new contributor).

Cheers

TortoiseGit managed to get everything down 2GB - seems to split up the requests as one of the last objects was 1GB+.

Got everything building now - don't you just love NuGet.... Shame there isn't a directx nuget!

Thanks for your help.
