GMAIL Checking Via MediaPortal (1 Viewer)

Anyone got gmail successfully working from within MediaPortal
I get as far as the screen saying 'connected' but nothng else.

Entered in correct username and password and using the pop incoming port... 995

Anyone comment here... let me know if there is any way to access gmail?

I see the reason why this plugin can't be used for gmail. as gmails requires SSL authentication for incoming mail - and the plugin has no 0ption to enable this :-(

Before Gmail introduced POP support, some program existed which created a local POP server and read GMAIL by scripting.
GPOP or something it was called. You might want to look for it (not sure about name)

I'm pleased to say that there is now gmail support in the latest SVN build, so you can configure my mail to have it.
