When I start MediaPortal, everything is fine. But after it's been running a few hours, my menu screens start getting weird on me. It's really hard to describe so I'll just post a screenshot:

mediaportalmenu30js8.jpg

This is a submenu of "My Videos" in MediaPortal. It does NOT happen while playing a video file in full screen. Only while displaying MediaPortal menus.

Here's the support report:

Well, I leave my HTPC on 24/7.... it's just MediaPortal I occasionally close and reopen.... and it's only MediaPortal that has this going on.

If it were a video card temperature thing, wouldn't this be going on all the time, not just when Mediaportal is running?

Thanks........

What heats up a GFX card is using it and MP uses it since it is a DX9 program. It coul dbe your other programs don't push your GFX card like MP does.

That looks like the corruption you see with either temperature issues or driver issues. I would definitely check your graphics card temperatures and make sure you have the latest video drivers.

    Problem solved!

When I removed the FusionHDTV card, I had just left the PCI slot (and back cover) open. When I closed the hole in the back of the PC (by installing a gigabit ethernet card), the weird issues went away. Thanks for the advice on the video card temps, it was right on.
