dxva can be a picky beast at times, especially with ATI cards (no L5.1 support etc).

New CoreAVC supports hardware decoding with CUDA now it seems, although that's still not much help for ATI users.

    (wish I'd never bought this 3450 :/)

Hopefully CoreAVC allows the HW acceleration to be used like other codecs, if not then MP will support it only in software mode :) But most likely CUDA support is only needed from the codec itself so all should work well already.

Eh oh no... no offense, fun only... the brush thing has make me laugh ;) I agree that ati was way better before AMD, especially those times back where the R-thing wasen't Radeon, but Rage/-Pro :D But VIA was always a mess with, since back around 1998 already, nothing changed so far. And AMD... aehm, there was some good things, but...

I experienced stuttering when trying to watch recorded TV with a Quantum Byte computer running Windows 10 and Media Portal 1.12 on a WiFi network, I had to set the Codecs and Renderer/Video Renderer tab to Video Mixing Renderer 9. It has seemed to clear up the stuttering.

No idea if you're still around, but I'd love to know if you've had any issues with a VM doing the TV tuning? I tried a Win7 and Win10 VM with my TV tuner passed through via Unraid 6 and it would always drop packets when tuned to HD channels via DVB-T2. SD channels always seemed to be ok.
