I had the same problem too but using ProcessMonitor I saw that the Configuration was given an access denied in c:\programdata\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal. If you're running Vista, just launch MediaPortal Configuration as an administrator (UAC... right click and choose "Run as Administrator")
If you're running XP, I think that MP need access in c:\program files\all users...

    Hope that helps...

Yup, this works for me with Vista Business.. Just rightclick the icon with which you start the configuration utility and then run it as an administrator.

    Cheers:D

Had same issue with Windows 7 Ultimate. But as lynam said, run Configuration tool as Admin resolves the problem

  • About The Project

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.

  • Support MediaPortal!

The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.
