Suggesting to add such option which will be useful to owners of plasma TVs. At video review on a full screen in a format 4х3 on the TV 16x9 there are black edges. I suggest to add an option of replacement of a black background on the grey. That these edges became grey, as on a picture. It will prolong life expectancy of plasma panels and will protect their negative effects of review of video not on a full screen. Thanks.

Huh? I didnt know that plasma technology is so bad :)

Such grey bars could be probably added in the skin file easialy, just edit the current skins fullscreen video .xml. Maybe some skinner can help with such change?

I have read about it in the instruction to the TV.
Also has then seen this function in PowerDVD. I will try to edit this file.

I am also looking to lessen burn-in by making the black side bars grey in fullscreen mode. I'm not familiar with MediaPortal skinning but I looked at the videoFullscreen.xml file in the skin folder anyway. However, I didn't see anything that looked like a border or background color option. Am I looking at the wrong file? Alternatively does anyone have any info about setting up a codec to do this? Thanks.
