Grouping/sorting movies (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I do have a large movie database and to scroll thru it (using MoPi or myVideos) takes really long and becomes totally unclear. I'm using Mediaportal RC1 and the latest version of MoPi.

What I have now is the following using MoPi or myVideos - i.e. :

Conair (with Cover)
Ironman (with Cover)
Mirrors (with Cover)
Rambo I (with Cover)
Rambo II (with Cover)
Rambo III (with Cover)
Rambo IV (with Cover)
Silent Hill (with Cover)

What I would like to have is:

Conair (with Cover)
Ironman (with Cover)
Mirrors (with Cover)
Rambo (with Cover) - if I click on it a new menu should open to select the different parts
- Rambo I (with Cover)
- Rambo II (with Cover)
- Rambo III (with Cover)
- Rambo IV (with Cover)
Silent Hill (with Cover)

I saw a pic somewhere in the forums that this is possible, but I can't find the thread anymore.

With the filter options of both plugins I can't do that.

I would also like to know this. My database is 300 movies big and I would like to shrink it down by genre or something.

I think this is unreal in MediaPortal 1. May be in MediaPortal we can see some features?

Won't happen for myvideos but there's a good chance that we'll get this feature for MoPi in the near future: Issue 229 - moving-pictures - Allow grouping of movies in the movie list - Project Hosting on Google Code

i managed it for myvideos.

i made different folders for the movies with more parts like rambo and put all teh movies in it. after that i placed a pic in the folder named folder.jpg and switch to the folder view in myvideos.

Now i have a cover for the different folders and inside the folders covers for each part

the only thing is that the folders are on top of my movielist and i am not able to use letters to jump to the movies anymore (ok, i can jump, but only to the folders). not perfect i know, but this is ok for me.
