Here in Denmark we just got h.264 channels via DVB-T, broadcasting started Sunday.

I have MP 1.0.2 and DVBViewer on my system, and when using latest ffdshow h.264 codec, the h.264 channel playback in DVBviewer were pausing every 16 frames, whereas in MP they could not play at all.

Then I installed Divx 7 h.264 codec and DVBviewer started working just fine. However MP still does not work, it freezes.

Logs attached - any ideas?

could u try the powerdvd/powercinema h264 codecs in GPU HW acceleration mode (dxva) ?

H.264 HW accel. mode does currently not work for the new danish channels (at least for me and other members of the group).

Try the trial version of coreavc, it will probably work.

It will be appreciated if you could report back your findings.
Also on what version are you testing on ?

Could you provide the mediaifo.dll report about that TS file?

Then I installed Divx 7 h.264 codec and DVBviewer started working just fine. However MP still does not work, it freezes.

Currently DivX H.264 codec doesn't work with MediaPortal.

0002280: TsReader won't work with DivX as H.264 decoder - MediaPortal Bugtracker

Thanks for that info. I can see from the bug report that you got it working in SVN version 22994.

What verison of Divx codec worked when you resolved the issue back then? I'm trying to establish whether it is broken again, because I'm using a newer version of the codec (in which case I could use the older version) or if its something within MP that "broke" it again (in which case I need to wait for a fix)

    Best regards,
    Kenneth

I personally don't have DivX H.264 codec installed, so it was fixed blind folded. Not sure what the issue currently is (as DivX H.264 codec connecs nicely in GraphEdit, but no under MP with the same test material).

I have issues as well with MP 1.02 and new Danish mpeg4 channels. I too have a GA-MA78GM-UD2H, could this be chipset related?

Edit: Probably has nothing to with the chipset since I have two clients connected with very different hardware and they stutter too.

I have posted my findings and logs in this thread already: Link
