H.264/DVB-S2 Support, what's the latest? (1 Viewer)

Greetings,

I'm new to these forums so my apologies if this has been discussed at length already, but a quick search didn't locate anything conclusive.

What's the story about HDTV support by way of H.264 coded DVB-S2 broadcasts?
I've tried this with MP and my Technotrend TT-3200/CI card but the DVB-S2 channels were not found.

Anyone have a recent update?

Well, I guess the absence of responses confirm what I had already concluded - no H.264 support right now in MP.

So unfortunately I'm left with:

- MCE2005 - no DVB-S/S2 support at all.
- MediaPortal - works great with everything but no H.264 HDTV, apparently.
- DVBviewer - supports H.264 but no "mediacenter" interface and requires
keyboard/mouse to run.

Argh. Anyone know if/when there will be H.264 support in MP?

I'm also searching for h.264 support in MediaPortal and also found it in DVB Viewer.
DVB Viewer has various plug-ins to make it work with MCE remote and give it a more mediacenter-like interface.

Is there really no-one who can explain me (and politby) how to tune into, watch and record h.264 encoded channels?
(in my case using a FireDTV DVB-C tuner)
