I've recently started trying to get HD content to work. I bought the CoreAVC codec for my h/x264 content. Whenever I try to play a matroska video file that is encoded in x264, the video quickly loses sync in MediaPortal. I can however play the videos no problem with Windows Media Player in fullscreen. I thought that maybe MediaPortal was too processor intensive to be running while playing HD content, but that is not the case. I can have MediaPortal open in the background and still play the files fine in fullscreen/windowed in Windows Media Player.

I know that my processor just barely slides in above the minimum requirements but if the video plays fine with WMP then it seems like it should play fine in MediaPortal. Anyone have any ideas what may be causing this?

I guess that makes sense, but I would think that WMP would use VMR9 as well. Perhaps it uses overlay?
