Hangs at start (DirectX?) (2 Viewers)

Synopsis: MP hangs at showing a small window saying "Initializing DirectX". Have tried to reinstall directX 9.0c and dotnet 2.0. I dont know what to do.

    When you uninstalled DX9 and .net, did you reboot afterwards and then try reinstalling, which may also mean reinstalling MP afterwards (hopefully not).

    I just did what you mentioned, and reinstalled MP too. No difference im afraid. Still hangs att "initializing DirectX".

    BTW i do not uninstall DirectX 9.0c, just reinstall it. How do i uninstall it before installing?

    Hi,
    Is this when trying to start MediaPortal or just MP setup?
    If it is normal MediaPortal, you have to post your MediaPortal.log & you can also try to remove some of your tuner card as a test.

    setup works fine as far as i can tell, it only happens with MP. i thought i posted the log, you cant see it? its a link at the bottom of my first post. will try with only one tuner tonight.

    Hi,
    The log above it's from MP Setup & doesn't give any error about what stopping MP from loading. Try to delete all logs, start MP again & then post MediaPortal.log.
