    Hi,

I have used an MCE remote with the MS IR reciever until recently when i gave it to my parents to use with their new HTPC (i never liked it much because it couldnt control my TV properly, since i need a macro to turn on the TV and switch inputs).

I heard that the Harmony 525 could handle my TV, so i borrowed one from a friend, and now i would like to see if its the thing for controlling MediaPortal.

Now im trying to find out what i can use as IR reciever on the HTPC. I have 2 USB IR recievers that came with my Twinhan DVB-C cards and one Serial IR receiver. I would prefer using the Twinhans USB receivers because my HTPC can wake on USB from the MCE remote and my wireless USB keyboard while i dont have a WOL which the Serial reciever needs.

    My questions are:
    1. Will i be able to use the Twinhan reciever?
    2. Any tips on setting it up?
    3. Any tips on the easiest way to set up the Harmony? I notice that there is a Media Portal device in the database, does it actually have some IR commands learned?
