I have Avermedia M150 analog TV card and timeshifting doesn't work at 24.10 CVS release to 29.10 CVS release. I thought that this is somehow related to: "24/10/2005 [19:02:53] _Frodo_ fixed 0000599: Config shows VMR9 WIndowless while this option is not used anymore". Also channel changing takes about 5-6 seconds (previously about 1 second).
CVS 10-30-2005--14-02 - Timeshifting works again but channel changing takes about 5-6 seconds.
Tried latest CVS 10-30-2005--19-22 also, after that MediaPortal doesn't even start (just flashes and then disappears).

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1

My TV PC is more a cast-off on older hardware (a 'Quiet PC' i5 4690, 16GB ram, 2xSSD 1xHDD, system graphics), mainly as a cheap way...

thank you Sir, issue is definitely resolved now, i uninstalled the problematic MSE altogether, plus i also now have optimized EPG grabbing configuration, thanks again for all the assistance, wow so much faster on everything now that MSE is out of the picture...MP WAF is now restored and FetchTV STB sits in the corner collecting dust :)

The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release.
It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases.
