Hauppauge 21 Button Remote - No native mode (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I am a newbie to MP. Running 1.3 and trying to get Hauppauge 21 button black remote to work under native mode.
It works OK with the Hauppauge TV software, and with MP using irremote.ini.
I can press any of the remote buttons, but nothing happens to MP.
What am I doing wrong ?

afaik only the silver models are supported natively by MP. So you have to stay with the Irremote.ini method... :?

That's not true. IIRC I got reports of working 21-button remotes. (Not sure, though.) That's why I put the xml data for those "crippled" remotes in.

No idea about the other problem, though. As I don't have such an old model, it's too hard to find it out. Best idea: Trash that thing and buy either an MCE remote or get a decent Hauppauge card with a full extended remote control.

Could be that I got an idea what might cause the above problem: The Hauppauge IR driver part could be too old. You need the latest IR components for it to work. MP gets some commands as you can see in the above log, but they are garbage, because that remote could be using the "old Hauppauge way" of talking to the driver, which is obsolete. (E.g. my components are V2.46.23136.0) So again: Trash it!

I will see how I get on with MP, and if I am using it a lot then I will invest in a more modern remote.
