I would like to ask if anyone managed to get this card, Hauppauge HVR 1700, working in MediaPortal. It seems a nice solution (pci-e, hardware mpeg2 encoder for the analog, dvb-t ) for its price, about 70 euro here. I need something in pci-e cause my htpc's motherboard is Gigabyte K8N Pro Sli, and it has only two pci slots, so i am trying to move whatever i can to pci-e.

I have this card. I'm using only the analog part. It works but not 100%. I'm getting codec errors from time to time (colored blocks) . And it took me a while to get the card to work at all.
The image quality is ok. Media Portal still frequently crashes on my system and I think that the card is the main reason for this.
