Hauppauge HVR-2200 duel tuner card only recording one station. (1 Viewer)

I have the HVR-4000 and have the same issue - I have no idea just what this card can do!
I'm tempted to just email Hauppauge and ask them...

Again there is nothing on the website, that states this card is only capable of doing one thing at a time, the nearest it gets is, "WinTV-HVR-4000: the best quad-mode TV receiver for your PC! WinTV-HVR-4000 is a four-in-one TV tuner"

Note the word "tuner", not tuners, so to me that means 1, same for HVR3000.

Regarding the HVR1600, look at the hauppaugeUSA homepage, first thing you see is DUAL TUNER lol, why can they not make that clear in its own write up

I tried the instructions at TV-Server/Configuration/TVServers/HybridCards - MediaPortal Manual Documentation .


However, the tuners did not go into different groups like at the above link. Instead a line crossed out the DVB-T tuners and the enabled tick beside them disappeared. Now I cannot get back into “TV server configuration” and I cannot get into Portal to view TV channels any more. When I clicked on “TV server configuration” a message came up saying "The TV service is not running. Start it now." I selected “Yes”. After a long time a message came up saying: "Failed to sartup tvserviceSystem.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"

Should I uninstall Portal and reinstall it?

Do you know of a simple step by step set of instructions that explains how to set up the tuners in different groups like at TV-Server/Configuration/TVServers/HybridCards - MediaPortal Manual Documentation ?

Mine just decided not to show the controls for Manual Control - just the title at the top..?
And I was going to test multiple stuff on the cards too
sigh
It's done this once before, prompting a complete reinstall of MP (I nuked the entire setup and reinstalled a fresh copy)

Is there a dl for the TVServer on it's own?? (so I can reinstall without all the other MP stuff..?)
I've taken AGES on resetting up this beauty..!

It would be good if there was video instructions perhaps on Youtube showing how someone sets up the card like explained at TV-Server/Configuration/TVServers/HybridCards - MediaPortal Manual Documentation .
If anyone knows of any, or could create a video, please let me know. Alternatively, a detailed step by step guide could be all right.

However, for a start it looks as though I may have to completely uninstall Media Portal and reinstall it again. Do you think I need to do this? If I do this would I have to install the dvbfix patch again and run the Bat file?

That is unless the TV server could be reinstalled by itself as asked in the above question.

So can somebody tell if I need to combine 2 tuners into one hybrid for 1600 or should I keep them separately and assign digital channels to digital tuner and satelite box to analog?

I created hybrid tuners and am still having an issue where it says I have no card availible and I can only watch or record one show at a time.

I have a HVR-2200 and I don't have any issues with it.

Make sure you scan for channels on both tuners..

The card can NOT work as analog AND DVB-T at the same time.

My issue was that I was trying to record to a network share. So I could only watch one channel while recording.

I had to change the recording folder to a UNC path and set the tvservice to run as a user that had access to write to my share, then all was well.
