hauppauge hvr-900 unable to create graph (1 Viewer)

hi,

i can't configure my hvr-900, it always says "unable to create graph".
the device is mentioned in the capturecardsdefinitions.xml
can anyone help me please?if searched the forum but i didn't find a working solution

Did You install the Softencoder that came with the card (SoftMCE Encoder)?
Is it working with WinTV?

first off all thanks for the reply on my message, yes in wintv works everything, i assume i installed the softmce encoder, is there anyway to check this?

First off all I assume You are not using Tvserver. The card probably won't work with that. Only regular Media Portal.
Yes I think You should have a folder named c:\windows\system32\hauppauge\softmce if the encoder is installed. Try installing the encoder again. You will find it on the enclosed cd (SoftMCE_Encoder_Setup_xxxxx.EXE). The analog part of this card use software encoder. Did the card appear in MP Setup? Do you find any channels during scan?

if got a folder like that on my computer, the encoder appears but when i want to edit it to look for channels etcetera the message 'unable to create graph' appears twice.

Try to install latest drivers and encoder from Hauppauge (CD Digital 3.3c). Remember to first run hcwclear.exe and reboot. Install drivers and softencoder.reboot. install MP latest SVN.

Hi,
I'm another user that want to run MediaPortal with an Hauppauge HVR-900. I checked the compatibility list before i bought the stick, but I think i should have scanned the forum instead of believing this list :-( I also get "unable to create graph". I have the lastest drivers and the latest media portal version installed. I didn't find a success story for the hvr-900 and MP is there any?

I also bought my stick (Haupauge HVR 900) today... regarding the list of supported TV cards.

But when I switch to analogue, I get this "unable to create graph for this device"-error.

Any solution, yet???

There has to be one... I really would like to use MP!!!
