I've been having a problem with my Hauppauge PVR150 Retail tuner, specifically the IR blaster. Heres an outline of what happens;
1. From a cold boot the HTPC starts up, loading MP and the tuner, remote and IR blaster work correctly. On opening My TV, the blaster blasts the channel it should be on and will also blast on any channel changes.
2. I send the HTPC to sleep or hibernate. Whether its done manually through MP or XP, or done using PowerScheduler, the result is the same as I'll describe.
3. I resume the HTPC and it goes straight into MP Home as expected. The Hauppauge remote works as normal.
4. I go to My TV. The tuner works as normal. However, no channel is blasted on opening My TV or on channel change (i.e. the blaster doesnt blink, the tv.log file shows an attempt to change but fails "2009-06-11 20:14:14.531250 [Remote blaster]: HCWBlaster: UIR_GotoChannel() failed: 1")
I've tried many approaches to combating this issue;
- Reinitalize services on resume
- Restart IR
- Restart MP on return from standby
- Manually restarting MP
Nothing solves this problem. The only way to get everything bak to normal is to restart the HTPC entirely. As you can imagine this is not ideal as it takes a good 2 minutes and theres no possibility to set up scheduled recordings while I still have this issue as it cant blast to the correct channel.
Has anyone else come across this issue before or suggest a way to fix it?
Just to note, on the log files the Sleep/Resume occured around 2009-06-11 20:13:44 / 2009-06-11 20:13:57.
Thanks.
