Hauppauge MCE Remote question (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, i have one final issue to deal with before my HTPC is complete. I would like to be able to leave the PC running, but would like to turn off the monitor all from my Hauppauge 150 MCE remote. I know that i can change the power button on the remote to send the pc into standby, shutdown or hibernate. I would however like it to kill power to my 26" flat screen tv instead. Can someone help me with this???

I think you need genuine MS remote for that.. I don't think Hauppauge remote is programmable.

That's right. But maybe even a Logitech Harmony would be a better choice for you (in combination with a Microsoft MCE receiver). Or you get the Microsoft receiver/remote bundle and give the MCE replacement driver a try. AFAIK it can send out learned IR commands to other devices on events/button presses.
