Hauppauge PVR @ DVD? (1 Viewer)

What does this mean? Do you get better picture with PVR using TVe3? Or was it inferior before?

I guess this means that when you use a PVR tuner with Media Portal, the quality setting will default to DVD bitrates. Using a high bitrate doesn't automatically mean higher quality, it means less quality is lost during conversion to MPEG2, but if the source was crap, the output will be only slightly crappier .
