Hey gang,
I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2.
I can install and configure every part of MP with no problems.
The scan for channels picks up all available stations.
I am using Zap2xml scraper for my EPG with no issues.
My problem is when I enter MyTv and select a channel.
The first time, the video+audio will work fine for about 5 seconds then start chopping and freeze within the next 5 seconds.
If I stop and start the TV part, the video is then garbled on the bottom 1/4th of the screen and video+audio are choppy the entire time. This lasts for about 5-10 seconds, same as the first time then freeze.
I have not been able to record any programs.
The same thing happens if I leave timeshift off.
When I installed MP, I left in the default codecs. I also have DivX and ffdshow (cccp)
I have no problems running GB-PVR.
Any tips or tweaks to get the video to stop freezing after 5-10 seconds?

I have been told (IRC channel) that my issue is probably because my video card (nVidia gForce4 MX440) is not a DX9 card.
I suppose I will need to get rid of that old card and get a new one. Any suggestions for a low-end card
(cheap) that will work for my setup of MP? ... I say CHEAP because the computer will be used only as a PVR.

:D for the advice,
