Hauppauge - QUADHD TV Tuner Support (1 Viewer)

Hello

I am currently looking at TV Tuner Cards and I came across the Hauppage QuadHD TV Tuner and I was wondering if it would work with the Media Portal TV Server; specifically would it be able to provide four simultaneous streams to four clients.

Yes, the Hauppauge QuadHD would enable you to stream any 4 channels to 4 different clients simultaneously.
I note that you can do the same with less tuners too. If you've ever used Windows Media Center, be aware that MediaPortal is more flexible. WMC requires one tuner per channel; MediaPortal requires one tuner per frequency/transponder. For example, with WMC and one tuner you can view/record one channel, but with MediaPortal and one tuner you can view/record all the channels from a given frequency (eg. all the Nine Network channels, or all the SBS channels, or all the ABC channels etc.) on any number of clients.
