Hi everyone, I love mediaportal but getting a decent remote happening is driving me insane. I started with a dodgey "MCE" remote that hardly worked and after months of putting it off went and bought a Hauppauge RC6 remote. Firstly the remote works great, all the buttons actually do something for a change BUT.... I have a theatremaster mx-500 learning remote which i've grown attached to and well, it doesn't get on with the hauppauge. Firts of all i've done a fair bit of reading and realise that the mx-500 won't learn RC5 codes, ie the codes sent by the hauppauge which when the same button is hit twice sends a rotating code. What this means is say if i hit "up" the list on screen will scroll up, but hit it again and it doesn't move, but hit down and it does, basically any repeated hitting of the same button results in nothing happening. So here's my question(s): a) Is there ANY way of getting this to work? I'd love to go back to to only having one remote, but doesn't look promising. b) Is there a universal remote out there that can either learn the codes or have them preprogrammed in it? (i assume it'd have to be the later). c) is there a MCE remote out there that doesn't use these strange codes that rotate and thus can't be learnt on a standard universal remote???? What are other people using that they've had success with??? Thanks heaps guys Sean
