I had a similar problem with my wintv-express card. In my case the problem was that the audio went straight (in analog form) through the soundcard instead of through mediaportal. This worked fine wathing live tv in wintv as WinTV and some other applications show the video in enough synch to make this bareable but resulted in sound coming 2 sec earlier in MP. Mediaportal on the other hand records the audiostream from the soundcard and play it (or record it) in synch with the video. I dont now what causes your problem, but if you can record things with audio in wintv its not the above. Note that the "audio-in" channel is suppose to be muted when playing or recording from the card in mp. In my case there was a problem with the mapping of audio from the soundcard to the software. This was solved by reinstalling the drivers from hauppauge and then reinstall mp. I found out that the mapping failed if other tv-cards were connected when installing the drivers, so i had to remove them while reinstalling the driver. / Petter
