I just plugged in my new dual tuner Nova-T-500 card, but it will not be recognized by Media Portal.

Is this card not supposed to work with Media Portal, if not will it be in the near future.

I also have a PVR-150 card and that seem to work fine, the Nova-T-500 card seem to work as it should in WinTV2000.

Edited...

I noteced there are Nova-T 500 cards in CaptureCardDefinitions.xml but they do not have the same device ID as my card have.

My ID is...
vid_2040&pid_9951&mi_00

In the file there is two other IDs wich are...
vid_2040&pid_9941
vid_2040&9951&mi_00

And it does not seem to work if I change it in the file or add such a section, but then I have no idea how this xml file is used in the program.

I have the same card, and the same problem. Frodo - do you have the files needed for this card or do you need me or Jorgen to upload them

I've had the same problem and think i've just fixed it!

Going through the process I noted that the Nova-T 500 entries already present in the CaptureCard.XML are only missing 'pid_' in the Moniker.

I tried using...

vid_2040&pid_9951&mi_00

...and bingo my card has appeared in the MP setup when it hadnt before and I am allowing it to tune it in now

I can't say yet if it is a full fix, I am optimistically hopeful but it's midnight so i'm going to bed and will play with it in the morning.

Cheers Guys hope this helps!

The following is is the whole section I added at the end of the CardDefinitions.xml file (leaving the existing one present).

audiodigital - your version of the nova-t 500 (and mine and Jorgen's) were all in the capturecarddefinitions.xml file at the end of sept - but they have disappeared from the yesterday's svn. not sure what's happened, but dman has the details (as requested on my post), hopefully the card will reappear soon.

I have been using the Stable 0.2.0.4 patch since the SVN builds have had all sorts of problem for me, so I just changed the entries in the CardDefinitions.xml.

The only problem with that right now is when the pc return from standby I get a message that a Graph could not be made and I have to restart mediaportal for the card to work. I also have a Hauppauge 150 card and that work perfectly without any problems.
