I have used MP 1.0 for a while now and really like it. However the only issue I have left is I cannot get the TV on my main pc, all I get is "connection to TV service lost". I know it is working becuase I can manually record and it works perfectly. I have read about the Microsoft loopback adaptor but before I try this I wanted to make sure I had installed Mediaportal correct.

I have a main pc in my living room which is used as the TV server and TV client so I installed it as singleseat installation. I have a pc upstairs which I installed as a TV client (This pc I can watch the TV on fine no problems).

So was I correct in installing a single seat installation or should I have installed it a different way.

Thanks
Robert

What type of internet\network connection is there on the main pc.

The M$ loopback device is only really useful for intermitant wireless connections, unless you like switching off your router.

    Hi Paranoid Delusion,

    I have a 2 x gigabit adapters.

I have looked at the Microsoft loopback adapter and didn't see how it would work in my situation that is what got me wondering if I installed the TV Server correctly.

I know Timeshifting works on main pc becuase I have to manually stop it after trying to view TV as it is running in the back ground.

I can attach logs but the last time I looked at them there wasn't anything that suggested an error anywhere.

    Thanks
