As topic states, when i try to watch HD channels on 1.0.2, they all come in like they are extremly zoomed. like you get only 25% of the picture or something... this smells of codec problems of some sort, i'm using coreavc 1.9.5 for h264. This is my first mediaportal installation on Vista so could be something i havent come across with XP.

I've seen other people also having this problem, described as they see the top left corner of the video zoomed in a whole lot. Described in this issue: http://mantis.team-mediaportal.com/view.php?id=1421
But this was supposedly fixed in RC2 if i'm not mistaken. Any ideas?

Update:
Tried with cyberlink pdvd as h264 codec, then i got bluescreen saying Mtsbda.sys caused some kinda error and the usual DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I had the same problem and could resolve it by disable the output format YV12 in the coreAVC options.

Setting mediaportal to use VMR instead of EVR kinda solved this problem, but from what i gather EVR has much better picture quality. I feel the HD channels got a "micro stutter" when using VMR. Its working for no. If anyone has experiences, input or suggestions they are more than velcome.

I solved the issue by using ffdshow as postprocessing for forcing the screen resolution.

    Requires a capable processor, though.

    Hi,

I had the exact same problem with HD channels and CoreAVC 1.9.5 the problem I found was in CoreAVC set the deinterlace mode to hardware and they should work fine on anything else I would get a zoomed image like yourself.

    hope that helps

Hm, this I can't confirm. I had these problems also with HW deinterlace in CoreAVC "on"
