I run MP on a windows XP pro sp2 computer. I would really like it to stay completely quiet when it's idle.
The problem is that when MP is running, the HD will never power down. I can have any other apps running, and the HD will power down after a while of inactivity. If i start MP, it will never power down.
After doing some research, it seems like wmiprvse.exe triggers the HD every time it's about to power down, and wmiprvse.exe is started when i start MP.
What is the meaning with this??
Is MP deliberately keeping the HD going, or why is wmiprvse.exe started with MP?
Anyone who knows?
