TV-Server Version: N/A
MediaPortal Version: 0.2.3.0 RC1 svn--09-03-2007--01-31-Rev15736
MediaPortal Skin: BlueTwo
Windows Version: XP Pro SP2
1. TV Card: Silicondust HDHomeRun
1. TV Card Type: ATSC & unencrypted QAM
1. TV Card Driver: Windows BDA
Recently, I upgraded to the most recent SVN release to get the SchedulesDirect plugin running as a replacement for Zap2it. After performing this upgrade, I noticed that MP no longer detects my HDHomeRun unit. I have since then upgraded the unit to the most recent firmware, have double-checked my capturecarddefinitions.xml file against what is specified in the unit's online documentation, and have performed a fresh install to double-check things. It's a no-go for me with the stock TVengine that is built into MP.
For another test, I installed a fresh copy of Windows XP in a VMWare virtual machine as a controllable test area for this problem. I first installed the HDHR drivers and software on the virtual machine and verified that it could view HD content through the tuner. I then proceeded to install MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 RC1, which went without a hitch. At this point, I took a snapshot of the machine so that I could revert to this position at any time. After taking the snapshot, I opened up the MP config application and tried adding the capture card. It doesn't pick up any tuner cards at all. The configuration.log also does not display any errors.
Is anyone else out there with an HDHomeRun unit running the most recent software/firmware? Anyone have any ideas why the tuner might have just dropped off like this? It's odd that I can view perfectly in VLC, but MP just can't pick up the card. I have a ticket open with Silicondust and they have verified that my capturecarddevices.xml file is correct. They are going to set up a test of their own in the coming days.
Any light that anyone can shed on this would be GREATLY appreciated!
