Did you look into the ATI Radeon 9550? It has component out like the Nvidia 6200. I was considering the 9550 before I went with the 6200. Nvidia seems to have a larger HTPC following, but if you had good results with ATI previously, the 9550 might be good for you. Assuming you can still return/exchange the 6200.

I don't know if the ATI drivers will have the same issues syncing up to your TV though. Sounds like they can't be much worse than Nvidia's.
