hey,

I've setup MP 1.0.2 completely from scratch, cause my old server died. So this time I want to try HDTV also, but yet had no luck with it. The HDTV channels broadcasting in h264 wont show up, sound plays though. The last MPG2-HDTV channel I have shows fine.

Prior to previous installations I just used ffdshow-tryouts and the Matroska-splitter this time.

So any hints on that, how to make them play?

The error I found in the logfiles is this:

2009-12-01 19:09:20.468750 [ERROR][MPMain]: failed:unable to add filter:ffdshow Video Decoder to graph
2009-12-01 19:09:20.468750 [ERROR][MPMain]: failed filter:ffdshow Video Decoder not found
2009-12-01 19:10:09.406250 [ERROR][MPMain]: failed:unable to add filter:ffdshow Video Decoder to graph
2009-12-01 19:10:09.406250 [ERROR][MPMain]: failed filter:ffdshow Video Decoder not found

But I dont have a clue how to fix that.

MP 1.0.2 blocks the use of the FFDshow video decoder for TV due to problems (hence the error messages), so you need another decoder installed to view H.264 HDTV e.g. PowerDVD - do some forum searching and take a look at the SAF thread.

TsReader blocks ffdshow only for MPEG2 content.

I'm also interested in that question, cause it would help me to go the right direction.

Is there no howto for h.264 support in MP?
