    Hello,
I have a massive problems with HDTV (DVB-T MPEG4). SD channels work perfectly well. Basically there are 3 types of the problems:

    1) If TV is switched to HD channel from SD channel for first time, hw deinterlacing doesn't work (tv is not smooth and only 25 fps are used). If I then switch TV off and on again, deinterlacing works fine. It works fine if HD channel is tunned as first after switching tv on.

    2) After some (various) amount of time, hd channel start to stutter terribly. There are artifacts in picture too. If I move backwards (15 sec is enough) within the stream, stuttering disappears, tv is smooth again (even if I move before the place, where stuttering occured, it happens no more). Unfortunatelly after some time it happens again. It seems to me that there must be some bug in ts reader, because there is no problem in ts file (it can be played later without problem)

    3) After several switching to HD channel (cca 15), the picture freezes (colors are completelly wrong) and after few seconds the whole pc completelly crashes (error message in system log occures saying OUTOFFMEMORY hw acceleration fails).

Did anybody have similiar problem and probably can help me or give me some hint where to find solution ?

    Thanks a lot...

I added logs from today morning. It seems the deinterlacing problem occures allways after first HD channel tune after Mediaportal restart.

I made some more investigations last days and it seems to me the problems with HDTV is caused by codecs. Unfortunatelly there in NONE h264 codec which works without issues within Mediaportal.
    1) Cyberlink h264 PowerDVD 9 has the issues described above
    2) Cyberlink h264 PowerDVD 8 has the issues described above and it is even more unstable then 1)
    3) MPC-HC won't show any picture at all
    4) FFDShow won't show any picture at all
    5) Arcsoft MPEG decoder won't show any picture at all
    6) Core AVC 1.9.5 seems to be pretty stable, but even the deinterlacing is done by hardware, the picture is not as smooth as if Cyberlink codec is used (slight jitter, which is annoying especially in fast moving scenes). Additionally one of the HD channels is not decoded correctly (it stutters terribly, even the processor is used for about 30%)

I there anybody who is able to watch DVB-T h264 streams without these problems ?

I'm following your thread lordie because I have the same sort of issues where I have problem finding a good combination of codecs with MP that works for h.264.

At the moment I'm using Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 and I also experience some issues where I sometime get stuttering after a while (rewinding a bit fix the problem for some time)

And I also don't get any picture with MPC codec.

    I'm using latest ATI Driver (9.8) and I've got a HD3450.

HDTV works like a charm for me!
Look at my systems specs on the left.
I use Powerdvd 7.3 Ultra for Mpeg and H.264.

    Rocksolid!

BTW, i recommend a TT-3200 DVB-S2 card with latest driver.
