I think this is nearly as frustrating as mythTV 
Although I did have a TV picture briefly and I have learnt that if i attempt to resize the mediaportal window the whole show freezes nicely. Thank our gods for the CTRL + ALT + DEL
Anyway, two more questions:
1) HOw can I rescan the channels on the DBTV card?
2) What magic is needed to have Mediaportal recognise my second DBTV card, which is the same make & model as the one it did recognise?
