After recently geting a new system, I've since returned to using the excellent MediaPortal. i've been able to play HD rips fine in almost all case.
I'm having two problems.
Some HD rips play fine for the first few seconds (sometimes up to a minutes depending on the movie) and then the video suddenly freezes while audio continues as normal. I've tried remuxing these files, but this didnt help. I find it strange that only some refuse to work. They also play fine in WMP12.
Secondly, some of the rips have audio in (what MP reports is) AC3 ES. But MP says it can't play it. I'm assuming this is a codec issue. What do i need to do to get it playable? I don't parse my audio to any external amp, but rather play it back straight through my 7.1 channel sound card.
