Help on plugin writing needed (1 Viewer)

Hi i hope some one is able to help i am trying to view source of some existing plugins and then use the ideas/ info gained from looking into these to write my own plugin. can some one tell me the exact verion of software i need to program/ view these plugin source.
i followed the instructions on this forum but keep getting error messages saying i have wrong version.

please describe more explicit what you have tried so far.
What software do you use currently?
Which plugins did you try?
What errors do you get?

Ok sorry i thought the subject was self explainatory.
all i am asking is what software is used to write plugins' i have tried visual studio 2005 and 2003. i was kinda thinking that ill only bother you guys for actual support if i find that i am using the right software and it wasn't working

You need VS2005 and the DirectX SDK (the latest one if possible) if you want to compile MP.

You can find the DirectX SDK on the MSDN site - msdn.microsoft.com - or www.microsoft.com/directx
